On September 14, 2019, in Kiev on Kontraktova Square, within the framework of Organic Week in Ukraine (September 09-15), the XI All-Ukrainian Organic Products Fair was successfully held.
The event was organized by the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, the Kyiv City State Administration, the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Farming Project, the Presidential Fund of Leonid Kuchma “Ukraine” and the Institute for Strategic Evaluation. It should also be noted sponsorship of the Fair by well-known companies, brands, organizations, in particular: LLC “Dadsden Agro”, LLC “Arnika Organic”, LLC “Organic Milk”, TM “Pan Eco”, TM “Chateau de Bio”.
Opening the official part of the main organic holiday of the state, greetings to the participants and guests of the Fair have traditionally been addressed by the Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine Yevhen Milovanov, who invited visitors to the Fair personally to get acquainted with the existing wide range of organic products, having passed in between the guests and testing the taste of authentic certified organic products!
The participants of the All-Ukrainian Organic Products Fair via Internet connection were addressed by the President of the International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movement IFOAM International Peggy DeMarrow Miars, who stressed that all over the world it is known to be the largest annual organic event in Ukraine and is a positive sign, it is here that Ukrainians have the opportunity to learn more about organic products, organic production and meet all those people who are active participants in the organic movement of Ukraine. Ms Miars also added: “Ukraine is an extremely important part of the international organic community!”
Minister of Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Milovanov intercepted the relay greetings of participants of the Fair, who, stressing on the successes of organic movement of the country recently, stated that food security is one of the main priorities of the state and the development of organic production is one of the main ways of achieving this goals.
During the inauguration of the Fair, the Deputy Head of the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Farming Alexander Oleksandr Caliberda also addressed the guests, who noted the tradition of supporting the project for the past year and invited the guests to enjoy organic food as well the pleasure of a wonderful holiday atmosphere. It was thanks to the support of the partners and the efforts of the organizers that it became possible to communicate direct producers of organic goods with their regular and potential consumers, who came to the Contract Square for several thousand.
Representatives of the leading domestic organic companies of Deddens Agro LLC – Victor Shcherbachuk, Arnika Organic LLC – Victoria Kovryzhko, Organic Milk LLC – Olena Kuhtyuk addressed the Organic Fair participants and guests.
Absolutely all the speakers emphasized on the positive trends of the organic market in Ukraine, the growth of export of organic products and filling the domestic market with their own food group of products of the widest range.

To see that Saturday was because the variety of organic products made it possible to satisfy any demanding taste of the consumer. In addition to the traditional preparation of roasted organic boar “Mangalitsa” from TM “PAN ECO” and the preparation of Transcarpathian bograch, visitors had a great opportunity to buy organic watermelons, presented by TM “EKOROD” (LLC “Organic original”). This brand was also a novelty that the Ukrainians first saw this year – sunflower corn sticks, which came to everyone’s taste because of their special taste qualities!

For the second year in a row, the fair guests had the opportunity to taste the domestic organic sugar from sugar beet from “Dadsens Agro” from Rivne region. Today it is the only producer of organic sugar in Ukraine. According to the manager of Dadsens Agro and Ritter Bio Agro Victor Shcherbachuk, growing organic beets and getting high quality sugar is not easy, but it is possible that we are already proving the second year!
The highlight of the event was the first ever All-Ukrainian Organic Products Market Auction, where after a long struggle of those wishing to sell the first (50 kg) sack of freshly made organic sugar of the new 2019 harvest from sugar beet grown by Deddens Agro LLC. The auction winner Pavel Tizesh, the manager of Tizesh FG from Transcarpathia, paid off immediately, paying 2700 UAH for 50 kg of organic sugar. The purchased organic sugar will be used in the production of medicines, beverages and syrups of the Pan Eco Trademark, well known both in Ukraine and abroad.

In order to demonstrate the best achievements of the domestic organic movement in various fields of activity, to better inform consumers about the benefits of organic products and organic lifestyle, the XI All-Ukrainian Organic Products Fair presented certified organic products and products made from organic raw materials from more than 50 certified producers of the country .
Traditionally, not only producers, processors of certified organic products from all over Ukraine, but also importers (LLC “Unimed Organic”, LLC “Choice”, LLC “Epinature”, FOP Jirgu Dezhene Gember), shops and trade took part in this main organic holiday of the year. establishments (the Natur Boutique chain of stores) offering thousands of consumers a wide range of organic products, not only food, but also certified organic household, cosmetics, hygiene products and more.

For the first time at the Fair, visitors were presented with their organic oils Balakliya Oil Refinery LLC (Kyiv region) and Organic Expert LLC, which presented organic rhubarb and various products from it, such as drinks and pastries.

Also for the first time on the Contract Square were presented auxiliary products for use in organic agriculture by LLC “AVK” Avatar and LLC “EM Ukraine”.
Consumers had the opportunity to buy and taste organic products from well-known local brands: TM Kozub, TM Organic Milk, TM Organic Meat Product, Pan Eco, Rud, Ekorod, TM «Petrov VP», TM «Liqberry», TM Molfar, TM Garna, TM BIOLOGIC.TV and others.
At the stand of the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the presented professional literature on organic and biodynamic production, favorite magazines for consumers “ORGANIC UA”. The experts answered questions about the principles of organic standards management, provided information on the nuances of production, and in communication paid attention to the question of how to distinguish the consumer authenticity of organic products, their advantages over conventional products.
For the guests of the Organic Fair for visual perception of the variety of products was presented a wonderful platform for photography by creative designer Anna Turchyna.

At the invitation of the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine, the famous artist Olesya Vakulenko came to the Fair, who specially prepared the coloring on the theme “Organic” and “Organic Products Fair”, and held a master class, which was very relevant especially for families with young children, since children painted pictures, parents had the opportunity to get acquainted with the participants of the Fair, to taste and buy organic products that tasted better.
The guests and visitors of the Fair of Organic Products and performances of young talents and well-known folk artists of Ukraine did not remain indifferent. After all, the traditional song of the fair is the scholarships of the Presidential Fund of the Presidential Fund Leonid Kuchma “Ukraine”, which has supported this organic event for years!
